A socket set screw is generally a headless screw but can be any screw used to fix a rotating part to a shaft, such as a line shaft or countershaft. It has a hexagonal recess and may be driven by a hex wrench, driver or bit. Hi-Line carries Socket Set Screws, Coarse, Class 12.9 in many sizes.
